Head on collision W/Entrapment

On 04/09/2023 at 12:49:00 Rescue 4 and 13 along with company 3 was dispatched for a two vehicle head on collision on Route 780. Attack 34 arrived on scene and found that we had five patients. Chief 3 confirmed that one patient was trapped and made the decision to launch Lifeguard 12 to the cold sulfur camp ground LZ. While extrication was being completed crews off of Rescue 132 and medic 47 was treating the other patients and getting them ready for transport. After extrication was completed Rescue 133 was upgraded to medic level and transported one patient to the landing zone. One patient was flown to a trauma center, the other four were transported to nearby hospitals.

One of our members were involved in this accident and we are praying for a speedy recovery.
